In Chungjangno Street you also see smiles on faces and the latest fashion trends. The Chungjangno originated from by very famous general's name from 1946. From Chungjangno 1-ga to 3-ga there are big fashion malls0, clothing stores, accessory shops, etc. In Chungjangno 4-ga and 5-ga you can find Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) shops, specializing in wedding as well as reform Hanbok.
Mountain Mudeung is a representative symbol of Gwangju which contains the spirit of Namdo (South western part of Korea) people. Azaleas and powder pink royal azaleas blossoming fully in spring, maple trees and wide grassy fields on the ridge in fall, and snow flower in winter increase the grace of Mountain Mudeung.
As introduced earlier, Asia Culture Centre (ACC) is a new type of hybrid cultural space, where the past, present and future of art meet to contain revolutionary ideas and beliefs. It is the fruition of a project initiated in 2004, in response to the socio-cultural transition currently in progress contributing to the formation of Pan-Asian cultural collective, and to support the new zeitgeist of the 21st century. Officially opened in November 2015, the Asia Culture Centre is a government organization under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and continues to support exchange and cooperation with Asian countries and Asian Culture & Art Community.
ACC contains five centres: ACC Culture Exchange, Archive & Research, Creation, Theater, Children, and other small facilities and amenities.
Gwangju Traditional Culture Center, located at the foot of Mt. Mudeung, is built in the style of a traditional Korean house, showing the harmony between the natural and the urban, and the traditional and modern. The mountain seems to embrace the culture center in its slopes, and a stream flows alongside. The location has a sensuous atmosphere which makes event here all the more special.
Daein Art Market provides a site where art and trade met to create a new culture and business near the ACC. Approximately 100 artists and 400 merchants are working together to attract customers back to the old market with art and night market every weekend.
Jeollanam-do (South Jeolla Province)

Damyang County is reachable in 30 minutes by car from Gwangju. It has kept many traditional sites such as the only traditional nature garden, several old pavilions, riverbanks covered with protective trees, an old fortress and many others. Visitors can also enjoy the first slow city site designated for the first time in Asia in 1999.
